Kites for the Winter Holidays!

At Katoomba Library today, I taught this Kite Workshop for kids. Firstly, students designed four kites on paper, and then selected their favourite design to use for the real kite. We used a kite kit each for the kites, which we assembled once the design was drawn on with fabric markers. 

Let's Go Fly a Kite!

For the last class of the school holidays, we held a 'Let's Go Fly a Kite' workshop at Blaxland Library.  First, the children were kite designers - creating four different designs and then choosing their favourite design for the final kite. 

We used a kite kit each for the kites, which we assembled once the design was drawn on with fabric markers. 

Below are the wonderful final kites - now all we need is a sunny, breezy day to test them out!
