CD Weaving

Based on this great art lesson by Make it...a Wonderful Life, today’s class was a lot of fun.

I pre-made the cd ‘looms’ to save class time.
We used plastic needles with large thread holes.

Great work everyone!

Recycled Robots

Today, Springwood Library was taken over by marvellous robotic creations. I’m sure they must’ve been at the library to get some sci-fi books.

The library staff had been kindly collecting their recyclables for this class for ages, and I'm over the moon about the variety of objects we could use today.

The kids used sticky tape, staples, electrical tape and masking tape (my personal favourite) to connect the pieces and create amazing robots.

Great work everyone!!

Weaving at Katoomba Library

Below are some of the fabulous creations from the Weaving Workshop taught by Liam Benson and I at the new Katoomba Library. Aren’t the colours wonderful?
